A woman has been summoned by a court after she allegedly left her boyfriend trapped in a suitcase during a game of hide and seek. The matter dates back to February 2020 when the couple spent an evening drinking at their home in Winter Park, Florida. Sarah Boone was taken into custody by authorities after a video surfaced of her boyfriend, George Torres Jr. In the video clip, George Torres Jr. was speaking from inside the suitcase, shouting ‘I can’t f***ing breathe’.
In the same clip, Sara was heard telling her partner: “F*** you for everything you’ve done for me. Stupid,” George responded, “I can’t breathe properly.” In the video clip, Sara is heard saying: “It’s on you. Oh, that’s how I feel when you cheat on me. You should probably shut the fuck up.”
According to reports, she left her partner in the suitcase and went to sleep, thinking that he would come out on his own. It all seemed fun and comical for a while. This game of hide and seek has taken a very sinister turn. When she woke up the next morning, she initially assumed her partner was downstairs. But there was not.
Sarah called 911 after her boyfriend didn’t answer and told operators that George had died after playing a game of hide-and-seek, according to recordings first obtained by the Orlando Sentinel. She told the dispatcher on the phone call, “My boyfriend and I were playing hide and seek last night, and I put him in a suitcase like a game of hide and seek. After that I fell asleep and when I woke up, he was lying dead in the suitcase. I do not know what happened.”
At his home to investigate his calls, deputies found George lying on the floor next to a blue suitcase. Sara will now appear for the pre-trial hearing on January 30, two years after the horrific incident. It has been said in the documents of the arrest. “Sarah went berserk and the last time she remembered George was when he put her in the suitcase.”
